Is putting money in Unit Trust funds safe?

I am reading a book about spotting signs of financial fraud and one of the top signs is that the money manager has direct access to the clients’ money and can do whatever he sees fit. The book recommended that the money should be placed in a 3rd party, credible and large institution.

It has got me thinking. Do unit trust fund managers have direct access to the pool of clients’ money?
(as in he is able to withdraw and spend the money as he sees fit directly, even on himself)

Are there cases of unit trust managers committing financial fraud with the investors’ money?

I am referring to fairly big and well known institutions which offer unit trust funds like Prudential, Templeton or first state bridge.

Buying insurance for baby in Singapore?

Tot buying buying insurance policy for my 3 mth old baby but at a lost of what policy to purchase. Currently there’s Education, Endowment, Investment..what are their diff and what’s the minimun sum I can buy? My agent told me to purchase SGD$50 for one policy but I find it too expensive. Any ideas and which ins company is better? GE?AiA?Prudential?Aviva? Thanks.

How to pick a good agent?

I have bought policies from NTUC & Prudential. In fact, I bought a lot from Prudential because the agent feels that I should. Eventually she is too busy to be contacted and I request to change agent. They have assign one who just join 4 years who can be contacted. I feel uneasy. How do I know a agent is good? The previous has the knowledge but can’t explain my policies well. How can I know that I am well insuranced and how to tell a agent or advisor is good or not? Is it true that agent or advisor are just people who sell us policies and after we buy it, it is our own business? I find it unfair but this seems to be how prudential agent are taught. Is that the right way or is that what every agent are doing actually? I am so confused. Anyone can deeply give me some good advises reasonably? Thanks.
From what I was told, Prudential actually have lots of agency each have their own group of agents. Is that how all insurance company works? How then can I know the agency is good since they are just part of the many thousand or hundreds of company linked to prudential? Anyone can answer me this properly as I know asking prudential is totally pointless as I have totally lost all faith in them. Please, any one can properly advise?

Which co. offers the most comprehensive policy for Saving/Life Insurance/Investment Plans in Singapore?

I’ve consulted NTUC re:Revo-save and Whole Life plan as well as Prudential re:Pru-life and Pru-save.

American Church United solicits life insurance coverage by Prudential.?

The coverage is offered for persons up to 100 years old without a physical exam. Is anyone familiar with this organization? If so, is this a legitimate association? I’m going for the Miley cyrus concert at prudential centre hall. at new jersey. I’ve got row 16, seat 16 and block 16. is that a good seat? Will it be blocking cause its towards the side of the stage??
